 ICU Nurse – Australian Capital Territory (ACT)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality and compassionate care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs, administer medications, and perform specialized medical procedures
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to hospital policies and protocols
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and colleagues to provide clear information and support
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to emergencies and changes in patients’ conditions
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification
  • Current registration as a Nurse in the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience working in an Intensive Care Unit setting
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively in high-stress situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care and upholding the highest ethical standards
